Alex Edep is a Los Angeles–based director whose work lives at the intersection of narrative filmmaking and contemporary culture. He specializes in high-caliber short-form content, collaborating with artists such as Yeat, Drake, and Quavo across music videos, album trailers, and visual campaigns.
He began creating at eight years old after picking up his family’s Hi-8 camera — a curiosity that quickly turned into an obsession with editing and visual storytelling. Teaching himself through early YouTube-era experimentation, from LEGO stop-motion to fan-made music videos, Alex developed a style rooted in both cinematic language and internet culture.
A graduate of Dodge College of Film & Media Arts, Alex wrote and directed My House (2021). A feature-length adaptation of the short is currently in development with horror writer Joe Russo, alongside additional feature projects.
In 2021, Alex founded DUMBDAYS!, a multimedia creative studio focused on forward-thinking visuals and artist-driven collaboration — built to encourage creators to chase raw creative expression over algorithms.
